PIMS designs, integrates, and provides innovative technologies and services to facilitate collaboration and strengthen relationships in the Euro-Atlantic and Partnership for Peace community.

PIMS is people-centric and strives to increase participant interaction and interoperability so that the community can cooperate fully on priority areas such as defense reform, coalition interoperability, peace support operations, and the global war on terrorism.

Tajikistan Emergency Operations Center and GIS Workshop

The Civil Military Emergency Preparedness (CMEP) Emergency Operations Center and GIS Workshop have been conducted in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on August, 9-13th, 2010.

Representatives from US Army Corps of Engineers, US National Guard, GIS, Tajikistan Ministry of Defense, Tajikistan National Guard, Tajikistan State Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense representatives took part at this event.

This event was organized by US Army Corps of Engineers.

Both sides have been presented following themes: from US side: Battle Rhythm for 8 Hour Shift, Corps Emergency Authorities, Katrina Lessons, National Response Framework; from Tajikistan side: Kulyab Lessons (earthquake in Kulyab city), Natural Disasters in Tajikistan.


“Steppe Eagle-2010” exercise

Third Army/Kazakhstan Shape the Future during Steppe Eagle The "Steppe Eagle" tactical peacekeeping exercises launched at the Iliysky training center in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan on 16 August.

Since 2003, Kazakhstan has hosted Steppe Eagle, a multi-lateral exercise designed to improve the participant's inter-operational capabilities. Steppe Eagle trains the combined forces for combat readiness as part of internationally sanctioned multi-national operations.
